THE PRINT NOTES / PLANNING GUIDE

Designing with holographic sticker material

Treat the reflective base as part of the artwork, then decide what should remain opaque.

Plan the visible effect

A holographic appearance can change with the viewing angle and lighting. Start by marking which parts of the design should show the material and which parts need an opaque printed area. Do not judge small text only against a bright screen mockup.

Keep an alternate flat-color version of the design for comparison. It makes it easier to see whether the reflective effect is helping the message or competing with it.

Ask about the construction

Confirm the proposed film, adhesive, printing method and finish with the supplier. Ask how white ink and transparent areas will be represented in the artwork file and proof. The website illustration is a concept, not a physical sample.

Reflective appearance does not establish outdoor durability, water resistance or suitability for vehicle use. Those requirements belong in the brief and need evidence for the actual construction.

Check the artwork at size

Review the cut edge, small gaps, fine lines and any text at the final dimensions. Include the intended surface and lighting context when requesting a sample or proof. Start each artwork and manufacturing specification at 1,000 pieces, subject to capability and quote review.
