THE PRINT NOTES / PLANNING GUIDE

Making a sticker message easy to read

Choose the main idea first, then design around the space people will actually see.

Give the design one priority

Decide what someone should notice first: a name, a graphic or a short message. Keep that element dominant. Supporting text should remain useful at the final sticker size instead of competing for attention.

Print a paper version at the intended dimensions and view it in the setting where the sticker will be used. A design that reads clearly on a monitor may need larger type or fewer details in print.

Use the surface as context

Consider the background the sticker will sit on. An opaque area, a transparent area and a reflective effect can change the relationship between the artwork and its surroundings.

The visual decision is separate from adhesive suitability. Describe the application surface and conditions so the supplier can review the construction. Do not infer material performance from an illustration or a finish name.

Prepare the print details

Keep the artwork file, cut outline and requested dimensions consistent. Ask the supplier to confirm the border, spacing and file requirements before final approval. Include the design name, number of pieces or sheets and intended use. Minimum order is 1,000 per design and manufacturing specification.
